Aircraft interior modification specialist ABC International has officially obtained European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Production Organisation Approval (POA), enabling it to manufacture and certify cabin solutions from its new production facility in Lioni, Italy.

The POA was granted by Italian civil aviation authority ENAC under EASA’s Part 21 Subpart G rules, which require implementation of a Production Management System that integrates compliance monitoring and safety management.

“From the very beginning, our goal has been to provide fully integrated cabin solutions by combining engineering expertise with certified manufacturing capabilities,” ABC says in a statement published on LinkedIn.

“The approval marks another important milestone in our journey, enabling us to provide integrated cabin solutions from design to production, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.”

ABC opened its new Lioni-based production plant last year. Boasting CNC machines and an assembly line, the facility is focused on manufacturing products that are in line with the scope of its approval as a design organization, including aircraft partitions and small monuments, plus soft furnishings such as carpets, curtains and seat covers.

Also able to offer Part 21J engineering solutions to modify aircraft cabins, ABC is now taking a “full package” approach to airlines, effectively offering nose-to-tail and fully integrated cabin solutions, as company executives explained to RGN at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.

Obtaining POA/Part21G certification will open up “new horizons of growth” for the firm, according to chief commercial officer Rodolfo Baldascino.

“This achievement reflects the commitment, professionalism and collaboration of the entire ABC International team,” says ABC. “We also extend our sincere thanks to our customers and partners for their continued trust and support.”
