ST Aerospace, through its US affiliate company, VT San Antonio Aerospace (VT SAA), today announced it has secured a contract from Air Canada to perform interior reconfiguration services on part of the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. This cabin reconfiguration contract follows a long-term agreement with Air Canada, announced in June 2017, for heavy maintenance services on the Canadian operator’s 787 fleet.

“We are pleased to select ST Aerospace’s San Antonio facility for our 787 interior reconfiguration project,” said Mr. Richard Steer, Sr Vice President, Operations at Air Canada. “VT SAA has demonstrated their ability to deliver high quality and on-time performance in performing C-checks on our flagship 787 fleet. We value their knowledge and experience in maintaining our 787s.

“Air Canada is a valued long-standing partner to ST Aerospace, and we have supported them over the years in heavy maintenance, as well as a number of cabin upgrade programmes – including turnkey solutions covering engineering design, certification, kitting and modification,” said Mr Lim Serh Ghee, President of ST Aerospace. “Being chosen by Air Canada again for services on their 787 fleet is a great affirmation of the high quality of work we consistently provide to our customers.”

Since then, VT SAA has continued to grow its support for the global 787 fleet by signing up another two North American customers on a long-term basis to provide heavy maintenance support for their 787 fleet. To date, VT SAA has redelivered 10 787 aircraft across two heavy maintenance lines.

ST Aerospace will be showcasing its MRO capabilities and other aerospace solutions at the Aviation cluster of the ST Engineering Pavilion (G01) at Singapore Airshow 2018 from 6 – 11 February.
