Press Release: SR Technics to support Diehl Aviation out of Malaysia

Rotation

Diehl Aviation, a leading solution provider for cabin interiors and aircraft systems products in the global aerospace industry, is further optimizing its service level in the after-sales market for customers in the Asia-Pacific region by having designated SR Technics as the authorized repair station in Asia.

The agreement covers component repair services for water/waste and air conditioning components that are now part of the Diehl Aviation product line, but were marketed under the recently absorbed AOA brand until 2018.

As the exclusive authorized repair station, SR Technics Malaysia provides Diehl Aviation with an in-region repair facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The facility, located ten minutes away from Subang Airport outside Kuala Lumpur, enhances customer proximity in the Asia-Pacific region. With growth on the Asian market projected to remain above world-average, this agreement between Diehl Aviation and SR Technics reflects the partners’ strategy to continually enhance their presence in the region.

While Aviation Week Network’s MRO Asia-Pacific is taking place in Singapore September 24th -26th 2019, Diehl Aviation and SR Technics further boost their collaboration. The repair shipments of Diehl parts began to flow at SR Technics Malaysia facility earlier this year, and their number is expected to more than double by end of this year.

Rotation

In addition to and beyond the business with SR Technics, Diehl Aviation is operating three Customer Service Centers (CSCs) worldwide, namely in Toulouse (France) for the EMEA region, in Sterrett, Alabama (USA) for the Americas and in Singapore for the APAC region. Separate from agreements with partners such as SR Technics, the Diehl Aviation CSCs provide comprehensive service packages to customers, including spares and repair service, cabin walks and on-site support or even customized services tailored for particular needs. In Singapore, Diehl Aviation opened a new CSC facility in 2016 in order to enhance its presence in the region, while previously CSC services in that part of the world were subcontracted.

Diehl Aviation is a division of Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG and combines all aviation activities of Diehl Group under one roof. In the aviation industry, Diehl Aviation – including Diehl Aerospace (a joint venture with Thales) – is a leading system supplier of aircraft system and cabin solutions. Diehl Aviation currently has around 6,000 employees. Its clients include leading aircraft manufacturers Airbus (both airplanes and helicopters), Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer, as well as airlines and operators of commercial and business aircraft.
