Contributing writer Justin Yarbrough is an accessibility specialist for Rio Salado College, an online community college in Tempe, Arizona where he works to ensure the accessibility of the college’s online courses. He also consults with other departments within the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) on accessibility-related issues, serves as an employee council representative, and is the president of VOICE Maricopa, an affinity resource group for employees with disabilities and allies within MCCCD.

He has discussed accessibility and disability-related issues on multiple podcasts and panel discussions, as well as co-authoring an article in Nature on using alt text to describe images in science-related Twitter posts. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Jennifer and guide dog, a black lab named PJ.
