“The TACAMO mission depends on communications systems that are resilient, available and ready in the most demanding operating environments,” said Bill Milroy, ThinKom’s Chief Technology Officer.

“The selection of our ThinAir® antenna reflects the growing importance of multi-orbit, high-throughput SATCOM capabilities for strategic airborne platforms, and we are proud to support Northrop Grumman and the U.S. Navy on this program.”

The ThinKom SATCOM antenna was chosen because it met the specific needs of the TACAMO mission, including high-bandwidth Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS), multi-orbit connectivity, anti-jam and survivability features and aerodynamic design.

The ThinAir® GT product line delivers multi-band connectivity options suitable for installation on aircraft ranging from small executive transports to large cargo aircraft and is compatible with GSO and NGSO constellations.
