For 15 years, Media Carrier Solutions has been a reliable partner to airlines when it comes to providing digital newspapers and magazines for their passengers. Long-standing clients include, for example, Lufthansa Group, LOT Polish Airlines and EVA Air.

Now, Media Carrier Solutions has introduced its new SCANtoREAD feature, ensuring that passengers are granted access to a publication even faster.

SCANtoREAD is essentially an extension of the Media Box platform. Passengers just scan the QR code displayed and start reading. They are directed straight to their favorite newspaper (or the inflight magazine) with no detours and distractions.

The new feature can be integrated into many different touchpoints (e.g., in the lounges) and is always helpful when passengers need quick access to a specific publication.

Media Box with premium titles in about 50 languages from over 70 countries

Passengers can access a wider selection of newspapers, magazines, travel guides, and podcasts at any time during their trip via the Media Box. Due to improved connectivity, there are no longer any limits on the amont of media content they can consume even above the clouds.

The diverse international portfolio is always available and requires no additional app but is instead customized to match the airline’s own branding.

Passengers are able to save newspapers and magazines on their own smartphones, laptops, or PCs and continue reading them later. Thus, they return to the platform — and to the airline’s brand ecosystem — multiple times.

Media Carrier Solutions will showcase the latest Media Box updates, including SCANtoREAD and new personalization features during the APEX FTE EXPO in Singapore.
