Press Release hub banner blue with title in red white and blueUnum Aircraft Seating has introduced Unum Two as a cabin-ready forward-facing business class seat at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2026 in Hamburg.

Originally revealed as a design study, Unum Two has completed a three-year development programme spanning industrial design, detailed engineering and testing, marking the next step in the evolution of the company’s forward-facing business class platform. The result is a refined seat that balances passenger comfort with operational performance, built to meet the needs of both airlines and passengers.

Unum Two is a 21.5” wide forward-facing seat offering direct aisle access, a privacy door, a generous bed, spacious footwell and the largest side furniture of any forward-facing seat, while matching the efficiency of alternatives on the market. The seat incorporates Unum’s patented Scimitar mechanism, delivering zero-gravity ergonomics and infinite adjustability, designed around Unum’s belief that comfort is created through space and movement rather than layers of complexity.

Chris Brady, CEO & Founder of, Unum, says: “When we first shared the forward-facing concept three years ago, we were clear about the ambition of Unum Two. Now we are presenting a seat that has been through the full discipline of design, engineering and testing, and is ready for airline programmes.

“Comfort is our starting point, and Unum Two delivers luxury combined with great living space, a huge bed and lots of storage, and of course our trademark zero G seat mechanism, while being engineered to be maintainable and perform consistently over time. A seat must work as well on day 100 as it does on day one.”

Unum Two is now available for orders and complements the existing Unum One herringbone configuration. Together, the two products form a coherent family, offering choice in layout while maintaining a shared design philosophy and passenger experience.

Unum will also present a Boeing 787-optimised version of Unum One at AIX 2026, giving operators greater flexibility when designing premium cabins for the aircraft type. Developed using the modular architecture of Unum One, the layout delivers a consistent passenger experience across all seats.

Airlines and media can experience Unum Two and Unum One for B787 at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg from 14 – 16 April 2026 (stand 6B30). To find out more, please visit www.unum.aero
