BermudAir, the scrappy boutique airline linking Bermuda with US and Canadian East Coast destinations, expects to take delivery of its new ‘Aisle Class’ business seats by the end of 2024, though it is still mulling the final LOPA (layout of passenger accommodations) for its two Embraer E175s.
At present, BermudAir sells a total of 66 seats on board in a dual-class, 2-2 configuration: 52 seats in economy and 14 in business with adjacent seats blocked off up front to support what effectively equates to a EuroBiz-style business class product aboard the E175s.
But a custom business class seat is still in the cards for BermudAir. Noting that the airline expects the Aisle Class-branded seats to arrive before year-end, company founder and CEO Adam Scott tells Runway Girl Network: “A decision on how many Aisle Class seats will be in the business class cabin is pending.”
In addition to providing “ample legroom”, says Scott, the Aisle Class seats will offer passengers “a private space that includes a personal work console, in-seat charging and privacy wall in an all-aisle seat 1:1 configuration.”

BermudAir has clearly been honing its business strategy since it commenced operations over ten months ago.
An earlier plan to offer all-Aisle Class seats on board in a 1-1 layout was scrapped after BermudAir observed strong demand for its flights from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport.
It currently serves Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Boston Logan, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Orlando International, New York’s Westchester County Airport, and both Toronto Pearson and Halifax Stanfield in Canada.
The new entrant also now offers five fare types across economy and business class, up from the previous three.
“We’ve added Economy Max to our Economy Light and Economy Classic options and introduced Business Light alongside Business,” explains BermudAir senior vice president of sales and distribution Leslie Peden in a statement.
“These fare types offer varying levels of booking flexibility and baggage allowances, catering to different traveler needs and budgets.”

Asked by RGN if BermudAir will alter its new fare structure when the new business class seats are added, Scott says: “We have no plans to alter the enhanced fare structure once the new seats are added.”
All passengers can avail of AirFi wireless IFE on board the E175s. Hollywood movies, popular TV shows, a moving map, podcasts and other content sets are streamed to their devices via the aircraft-powered AirFi units.
“We are dedicated to delivering a premium inflight experience to all our passengers. In both our cabins guests receive complimentary food and beverage service (inclusive of alcohol), with an extended menu in business class. This is part of our commitment to providing exceptional service and comfort throughout the journey,” says Scott.
BermudAir recently selected IFPL Group’s Cobalt Spectrum LED drop-in mood lighting for its E175s, illuminating the interior with its brand colors.
