Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), the world’s premier event for those responsible for cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and passenger comfort, will return to Hamburg from 31 March – 2 April 2020. Amid a burgeoning aircraft cabin interior market – which is expected to achieve a CAGR of 8% [1] from 2018-2024 – the event will highlight the full breadth of the industry, demonstrating the emerging innovation and collaboration that is fuelling the aviation industry’s constant and exponential growth.
Entering its 21st year, the world-renowned show will fill all 11 B halls at the Hamburg Messe. With thousands of aviation decision-makers and airline buyers in attendance, AIX will provide unrivalled opportunities to network and learn about future trends. And, as the industry’s largest representation of cabin interiors products in one place, it provides an unmissable chance for attendees to foster collaboration and discover solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Quality networking
Expected to welcome more than 14,000 attendees, there is no better place for both suppliers and buyers to network with the people that matter. AIX 2020 presents a unique opportunity for suppliers to speak directly with key buyers from all global airlines and generate highly targeted business leads.
And, it’s not just the show floor that will witness unprecedented networking and new business opportunities. Attendees are invited to purchase tickets to the Industry Networking Party, which takes place immediately after the Passenger Experience Conference on Monday 30 March 2020, where they will be able to meet the who’s who of the industry, allowing them to make new contacts from across the passenger experience industry ahead of the exhibition.
A new and improved AIX App, set to launch in November, will also assist attendees in connecting with key exhibitors and efficiently plan their time ahead of the show.
Exhibitor excellence
AIX is renowned across the world for providing the aviation industry with a platform to source the full spectrum of products and services, from cabin interiors and in-flight entertainment, to connectivity and passenger services. With more than 1,200 of the most influential buyers, representing more than 250 global airlines, in attendance, it presents an opportunity for every exhibitor to increase brand awareness within the industry, showcase their latest products, innovations and services, and form important long-lasting business connections.
This year, more than 600 suppliers, dedicated to improving the passenger experience, are expected to display their full range of innovative products and services at the show. Among those present will be the major OEMs, Boeing and Airbus, as well as industry stalwarts such as Collins Aerospace, Safran, Recaro, Stelia and Adient.
In addition, the industry’s largest representation of in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) will also return in this year’s IFEC Zone, enabling attendees to stay abreast of the most up-to-date technology solutions from OTT systems to 5G and VR. Located in halls B2-B4 upper and lower, it provides a dedicated area for more than 100 exhibitors, including Astronics, Thales, Inmarsat, Panasonic Avionics Corporation and Global Eagle, who will showcase the latest solutions to enrich the passenger experience and enhance onboard operations.
Understanding the future of flight
The highly acclaimed, free-to-attend CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theatre will once again host the world’s foremost experts who will shed light on and debate key market trends and challenges. The comprehensive and carefully curated programme will provide attendees with invaluable insights covering the entire cabin.
Additionally, the Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) will help visitors identify unique ways of improving the onboard experience. Taking place on 30 March, the day before AIX, it offers attendees the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in new ideas and the concepts behind some of the industry’s most innovative solutions. A full programme will be announced later this year.
Partnering for a 360 view of the industry
Attendees at AIX will also benefit from its co-location with World Travel & Onboard Catering Services Expo (WTCE) and Passenger Experience Conference, forming Passenger Experience Week. Drawing a wider audience to the show, the collection of three events in one place offers airlines a 360 view of the industry, providing a comprehensive platform to identify products and services from all corners of the industry.
Speaking about AIX, Polly Magraw, Event Director, said: “Every year I’m astounded by the breadth of product on show and the inspirational conversations that take place at AIX, from business meetings with key exhibitors through to the comprehensive CabinSpace Live seminar programme. The show is where the conversations start and the solutions are found. It has long been recognised for representing the entire aircraft interiors marketplace – growing from strength to strength. We can’t wait to share more about what we have in store for 2020.”
Registration for AIX 2020 opens in November.
