When they hear “Buon volo!” at Air Dolomiti and Neos, passengers can immediately look forward to a new service offered by both of these Italian airlines: Starting now, the comprehensive range of e-papers from the Media Box will deliver a taste of inspiring or informal “dolce vita” during the journey.
An increasing number of airlines is convinced of the benefits of a digital media library and for that reason making use of the top-class expertise of Media Carrier. The digital experts are setting new quality standards in the service sector of the travel industry with their Media Box. With the addition of the two Italian airlines, the MELO Group subsidiary continues to rapidly expand its customer base in the aviation sector. Over 100 million passengers a year can already access the newstainment offering of the Media Box.
Whether on mobile phone, tablet or other web-enabled devices – the Media Box is web-based and therefore the ideal, smart media companion for any journey. That is why airlines like to use it to offer their passengers an even better service also outside the plane and to keep up with the continuously rising demand for digital services.
“We are delighted that more and more airlines recognize the outstanding advantages of our Media Box and integrate it into their digital processes. But in addition to the obvious benefits such as a comprehensive range of magazines and newspapers as well as savings in terms of logistics and kerosene, the Media Box also scores as a “contact module” to the customer. Using the highly versatile e-paper media library airlines can get in touch with the customer, not only during the flight, and at the same time enhance the passenger experience. Brand presence and customer loyalty can be significantly reinforced through continuous access to the airline’s service world,” says Philipp J. Jacke, Managing Director of Media Carrier, summing up.
The Media Box at Air Dolomiti
Air Dolomiti passengers have access to the Media Box via the Air Dolomiti website three days before their flight. They can choose their preferred titles from a range of 100 different national and international newspapers and magazines, and download them as a PDF file. All newspapers and magazines are presented unabridged and in the same layout used in the print versions, and can also be browsed offline easily and intuitively during the flight. The next step is to integrate the Media Box into the IFE app of Air Dolomiti.
The Media Box in the Neos entertainment app
Passengers who fly on a Boeing 767 from the Milan-based Neos fleet can be quite pleased. They can use the airline’s entertainment app, which they can download in advance and free of charge to their mobile devices. With the app, they then have access to the wireless in-flight entertainment system on-board and, in addition to the e-paper media library, flight passengers can also benefit from other services offered in the app such as games, movies or music. The content of the entertainment app is available without restriction during the flight. Whether La Repubblica or La Gazzetta, Neos passengers can download an unlimited number of titles from the Media Box via the entertainment app, from a range of predominantly Italian newspapers and magazines.
