Assaia, a leader in artificial intelligence and computer vision for airport operations, today announced an investment from United Airlines Ventures (UAV), the venture capital arm of United Airlines.

The investment, which occurred earlier this year, supports the continued development of StandManager, Assaia’s new stand and gate management product, which is designed to help airlines and airports make more informed stand and gate allocation decisions as operating conditions change.

A central part of that model is connecting innovative companies with real-world industry expertise. UAV’s investment in Assaia reflects confidence in the company’s approach to addressing increasingly complex airport operations and its potential to serve the broader aviation industry.

StandManager is part of Assaia’s ResourceManager platform. It is designed to support stand and gate planning by bringing together operational information, business rules and changing real-time conditions in a common decision-support environment. By applying Assaia’s artificial intelligence and computer-vision technology, StandManager aims to help operators respond more effectively to one of the industry’s most complex operational challenges.
