Mirus Aircraft Seating is pleased to announce that its next-generation Hawk Duo recline economy seat has now been included in the Airbus A320 Family, Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) Catalogue from July 2026.
This achievement provides airlines with another lightweight seating solution that can be selected directly during the aircraft cabin definition process.
Hawk Duo joins Hawk Infinity and Kestrel in the Airbus Catalogue, giving airlines a broad portfolio of economy seating solutions for a range of operational and passenger experience requirements.
Designed for both the single- and twin-aisle markets, Hawk Duo is Mirus’ latest economy seat.
Weighing from just 8.5kg per PAX, fully dressed (including synthetic covers & seatbelts), the Hawk Duo also offers increased passenger living space, a generous 5-inch recline and exceptional ergonomic comfort.
Its simplified architecture and reduced parts count both improve reliability and lower maintenance and operating costs, while its lightweight design helps reduce fuel burn and CO₂ emissions.
“We are proud to see Hawk Duo join the Airbus BFE Catalogue, alongside Hawk Infinity and Kestrel,” comments Ben McGuire, CEO of Mirus Aircraft Seating.
“This is another important milestone for Mirus and reflects our commitment to delivering innovative seating solutions that combine passenger comfort with operational efficiency.”
Hawk Duo complements Hawk Infinity, Mirus’ flagship reclining economy seat, which offers airlines a proven combination of passenger comfort, operational gains and cost improvements. It also joins Kestrel, Mirus’ ultra-lightweight fixed-back economy seat, designed for operators focused on maximising efficiency without compromising passenger comfort.
