Heralding a new chapter in the 25-year-old company’s development, Starling will showcase its new seating types at AIX, from its stand in Hall 7.

SA4000 is a next-generation economy class seat, focused on weight efficiency, enhanced comfort, durability and simplified maintenance.

Complementing this for corporate and premium class cabins is the SA5000, a dual ‘club style’ platform, featuring in-house engineered modular architecture, advanced connectivity integration and bespoke comfort options.

In addition to these models, Starling is also developing a next-generation, fully customisable VIP seating solution for private jet operators, called the SA6000. This will feature 357degree rotation, handcrafted luxury materials, integrated smart controls, and flexible configuration options.

Starling’s new SA-designated seating portfolio has been engineered with cross-platform adaptability in mind, including compatibility with Airbus, Boeing, Cessna and Embraer cabin geometries, and other private jet models.

Starling’s co-founder and director, Coralie Wigg, said: “At AIX, we are not simply launching new seats, we are showcasing our expertise in creating unique and scalable seating architecture, that’s suitable for economy layouts, corporate cabins and ultra-luxury VIP aircraft.

“Our new SA seat family is designed, engineered and certificated to meet the evolving expectations of airlines, corporate operators, and private jet customers alike and we can’t wait to invite show visitors to try them out. The new seats are an extension to our range of bespoke cabin monuments, all of which are engineered for reliability and durability.”

Coinciding with introducing its new seating range, Starling has today announced its official status as an approved supplier to Boeing, marking another significant milestone for the business. Starling already holds the necessary approvals and technical capability to design, engineer, manufacture, and certify interior monuments for Boeing commercial platforms.

Commenting on the approval, Starling’s Coralie Wigg said: “Achieving approved supplier status from Boeing not only underscores our engineering rigour, manufacturing quality and deep understanding of its cabin requirements, but also validates Starling’s commitment to delivering world-class cabin interiors for next-generation Boeing aircraft. ”

Starling has recently been appointed to deliver a series of luxury seat modifications across a major airline’s B787 and Airbus A350 long-haul fleet. In a project lasting until 2030, it will also undertake the design, manufacture and certification of brand-new monuments across the B787 fleet, whilst working in close association with Boeing.

Established for over 25 years, Starling Aerospace is at the forefront of cabin interior solutions for the commercial, business and private aviation industry. A specialist in design engineering, fabrication and refurbishment, with full in-house certification approvals, Starling’s facility is in Leatherhead, Surrey.
