LOT Polish Airlines has unveiled a new Boeing 737 MAX 8 cabin interior inspired by Poland’s natural landscapes — in particular the Tatra Mountains and the warm glow of the rising sun, reflected in copper and amber tones.

The design continues the visual language already familiar from LOT’s redesigned business lounges, introduced to passengers last year. The first aircraft featuring the new interior will enter service on 2 January 2026.

“As Poland’s national carrier, we consistently shape the travel experience to reflect the very best of Poland. The design of our cabins and airport spaces draws inspiration from Polish landscapes and aesthetics,” said Izabela Leszczyńska, Director, Product Development and Customer Experience Department.

“A colour palette of deep blues and warm amber accents creates a sense of calm, while the thoughtful use of light enhances comfort and relaxation. The new interior design is more than a purely aesthetic update — it forms part of a cohesive strategy aimed at delivering an exceptional passenger experience.” 

The passenger cabin was designed by Tangerine, a UK-based agency specialising in aircraft interiors and passenger experience. Tangerine has been working closely with LOT to bring the airline’s visual brand language into its aircraft cabin design.

The lounges and cabin interior design capture the pure magic of Poland and are the result of taking a bold creative leap from insight to implementation. The first of the new aircraft will fly at the beginning of 2026, opening a new chapter in the airline’s transformation,” said Matt Round, Chief Creative Officer, Tangerine.

Along with the refreshed Boeing 737 MAX 8 cabin, LOT Polish Airlines is introducing additional enhancements. Passengers will travel on modern seats offering a six-way adjustable headrest, a 60W USB-C port, a mobile device holder and a range of ergonomic features designed to ensure a high level of comfort, even on longer flights.

These thoughtfully designed solutions significantly enhance travel comfort and form part of LOT’s holistic approach to the passenger experience. The seats were manufactured in Poland by RECARO, one of the world’s leading aircraft seat manufacturers.

The new aircraft interiors are a natural continuation of the changes LOT has been implementing for several years. Designed in the same spirit are the business lounges — the Mazurek and Polonez lounges in Warsaw, as well as the newly opened facility at Chicago O’Hare — which have been awarded, among others, by the Industrial Design Institute.

This introduces a new visual language for the brand and forms part of the airline’s long-term development strategy, translating into a consistent passenger experience. In line with this approach, LOT will continue to modernise the interiors of subsequent aircraft and other travel-related spaces — from business lounges to digital platforms — promoting Polish craftsmanship, art and domestic brands.
