Lufthansa Systems announced that Kenya Airways has opted for its codeshare management solution SchedConnect. Kenya Airways has been partnering with Lufthansa Systems since 2007 and is currently using the solutions NetLine/Sched and NetLine/Plan.
As a member of SkyTeam alliance, Kenya Airways acts as a fully integrated network carrier having 20 codeshare partners. With SchedConnect Kenya Airways will be able to manage and update its schedule with ease, even with a high volume of changes and extensive number of partnerships it maintains. Having had to manage all tasks for codeshare management in a mainly manual manner, Kenya Airways will now benefit from the idea of a central flight repository and a central schedule database where the schedules of all customers and codeshare partners are saved in real time. This lets the airline cut down on the number of scheduling mistakes, avoid customer complaints and pricing mistakes, and get the most out of its codeshare connections.
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Lufthansa Systems,” said Martin Gitonga, Head of Network and Alliances at Kenya Airways. “Having relied on NetLine/Sched and NetLine/Plan for sixteen years, we trust the quality of their solutions and look forward to a fast integration of new codeshare partners with SchedConnect.”
“We are looking forward to continue working alongside our valued customer, Kenya Airways. We are pleased to support them with our reliable and experienced codeshare management solution, that is specifically designed to meet the needs of airlines operating in codeshare partnerships, such as SkyTeam alliance members,” added Marco Cesa, SVP Regional Management EMEA at Lufthansa Systems.
