These services provide original equipment manufacturers (OEM) insight into how a product will behave while in vibration environments found in helicopters, turboprop planes and more.

In addition to performance, CarlisleIT’s vibration and shock testing also helps OEMs evaluate conformance to product’s specification requirements, determines resonate frequencies and behavior during sudden deceleration.

“Product testing is a very important part of the manufacturing process, and we have a team of experts who will make sure that every product is 100% ready to go to market,” said Rob Degrave, Product Line Manager II, Aerostructures for CarlisleIT. “As a leading supplier of interconnect technologies and services, our goal is to provide as many high-quality services to OEMs as possible to ensure that they continue to achieve their goals and foster innovation that propels the industry forward.”

Vibration curves vary in type and intensity with the goal of simulating the vibration environment a product will encounter. Mechanical shock tests also vary in intensity, usually measured in g’s, and can simulate a typical operational environment or worse case scenarios where the failure mode of a product is coupled with safety.

Sinusoidal, Random, Sine-on-Random and Random-on-Random, Resonant Frequency Determination and Mechanical Shock Testing are offered at CarlisleIT’s Franklin, Wisconsin location.
