Diehl Aviation is improving production capacity in Nyírbátor, Hungary, and celebrated the inauguration of a new Logistics Center. The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Diehl representatives as well as the local Mayor – Máté Antal – the parliamentarian Dr. Simon Miklós, and the President of the Regional Administration, Seszták Oszkár.
The new logistics hall covers 2,500 m2 and towers at a height of 12 meters. Construction began in October 2017 and the building was completed in July 2018. The main contractor for the construction works was Pallér Csarnok Kft.
Diehl Aviation has been expanding its manufacturing capacities in Hungary since its first local production in 2011. The products that were first manufactured in Nyírbátor – cabin elements for air conditioning, doors, and door frames – were produced for the German site in Laupheim; later, side walls and isolation packets were added to the product palette. These products were all installed in the Airbus models A320, A330, A350, and A380.
The expansion and increasing qualification of the site has enabled the company to expand its future production portfolio in Nyírbátor. Today, Diehl Aviation employs over 600 people in Nyírbátor and Debrecen. Depending on the development of the business activities in the future, there is no reason why this number could not increase.

The company’s customers include the leading aircraft manufacturers Airbus (both aircraft and helicopters), Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer as well as airlines and operators of commercial and corporate jets.
