Global Eagle Entertainment Inc., (Nasdaq:ENT) (“GEE”) a worldwide provider of aircraft connectivity systems, operations solutions and media content to the travel industry, today announced a pair of exclusive agreements with Fiji Airways aimed at upgrading the passenger experience and introducing advertising sales across the international carrier’s growing fleet of B737s and A330s.
GEE is currently delivering a broad range of content, including movies, TV shows, music and games, over Fiji Airways’ in-seat and overhead inflight entertainment (IFE) systems, while iPads pre-loaded with a full entertainment lineup will be offered to passengers later this year.
GEE is already selling Fiji Airways’ advertising and sponsorship spots, which will begin appearing on the airline’s IFE screens at the beginning of 2016.
