LATAM has launched a new travel eSIM offering secure, seamlessly integrated mobile data — ranging from 1 to 10GB — across regional and global destinations. The service is available directly through LATAM’s website.
With this launch, LATAM becomes the first airline in Latin America to offer its own branded travel eSIM, differentiating itself from generic travel eSIM marketplaces, as well as local providers. eSIM LATAM offers travelers competitively priced, seamless connectivity, eliminating hefty roaming fees and the hassle of finding Wi-Fi.
“With eSIM LATAM, we’re extending our mission beyond flights—we’re creating a connected travel experience that goes beyond our passengers landing”, said Ramiro Alfonsín, Commercial VP at LATAM Airlines Group. “This launch is about removing friction, adding value, and giving travelers one less thing to worry about.”
eSIM LATAM is fully embedded in the LATAM ecosystem, allowing travelers to purchase an eSIM in just a few taps. Customers earn LATAM Pass Miles with every purchase, adding value throughout their journey. The integration eliminates roaming fees and delivers instant connectivity, making travel smoother and more rewarding.
Developed in partnership with Gigs, the operating system for mobile services, eSIM LATAM offers customers instant activation, high-quality connectivity, competitive pricing, and the ability to earn LATAM Pass Miles on every eSIM purchase, and all on LATAM’s website that millions of travelers already use and trust.
“People turn airplane mode off before they can take their seat belts off. Connectivity is now a core part of the travel journey. LATAM Airlines has recognised that by embedding mobile services directly into their ecosystem, they’re simplifying the experience for millions of travellers—and setting a new benchmark for how airlines can turn connectivity into a strategic advantage, driving engagement, loyalty, and new revenue streams,” said Rafa Plantier, VP of Go-to-Market at Gigs.
eSIM LATAM is available now through latam.com, with deeper product integrations to follow in the coming months.
