Delta is inviting customers and employees alike to help shape its network in a way no airline has done before. In Delta’s first-ever Route Race, SkyMiles Members and Delta people can vote on which European destination joins the map for Summer 2026.
Flying to 300+ destinations and still growing, Delta continues to expand its global network to connect travelers with the world’s most sought-after cities. This summer, the airline operated its largest-ever transatlantic schedule, including the launch of Catania, Italy, Delta’s first nonstop to Sicily. Now, the people who know Delta best have the chance to help choose which Mediterranean destination joins the map next.
“SkyMiles Members and Delta people are at the center of everything Delta does. The Route Race is a celebration of their influence, giving our community a voice in where they want to fly next and inviting them to help shape Delta’s global network,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
“The destinations where Delta flies are more than just dots on a map – they’re gateways to culture, connection and possibility, and this is a chance for our Members and employees to bring one of them closer.”
How it works
From Aug. 25-29, SkyMiles Members can cast their vote in the app – download now to make sure you’re ready. Once voting opens, simply navigate to the Explore and Trip pages within the app, confirm your SkyMiles credentials and cast your vote.
Each destination is represented by a Delta jet, and every vote helps determine which route will be taking off next summer. Final results will be announced around 30 days after voting closes.
