The latest addition to the new line up of Mirus seats is an enhanced comfort economy seat designed specifically for installation in high density configuration wide-body aircraft.
The first shipsets of Hawk LR will be delivered to the launch customer in Q1 2025 for their fleet of Airbus A330 configured in 9-abreast layout, initially via retrofit and from 2026 via Airbus line fit. Hawk LR joins its big brother, the Falcon launched at AIX Hamburg in 2023, to complete the Mirus family of economy seats designed for long range aircraft. This range will be complemented with the launch of an all-new Premium Economy seat in 2025, which will double as Domestic First on narrow bodies.
Hawk LR features Mirus’ signature design DNA, making it one of the most slimline, elegant and contemporary seats in its class, elevating the appearance of the cabin. That said, the cutting edge technical design solutions built into each seat provide exceptional levels of comfort and passenger living space even in the most dense of wide-body cabin configurations.
Specific features on the launch customer seat include enhanced levels of seat cushioning, 4-way head together with USB power system, and bespoke dress covers to align with the airline’s branding.
Marcus Williams, Mirus’ Global Sales & Marketing Director, says: “At a time when the distinction between aircraft types and flight distances is becoming increasingly blurred, Hawk LR fills a specific and growing gap in the market for airlines looking to order new or re-fit their existing wide-body aircraft into high density layouts capable of transporting a high number of passengers over relatively shorter distances.
“With the first customer confirmed, initially for retrofit and then line fit in January 2026, we are excited to add this new derivative of our best-selling Hawk economy seat to our line-up.”
