Illumination’s global phenomenon, the Minions are bringing their mischievous humor and playfulness to spread joy to kids travelling onboard Saudia.

Renowned for their industry-leading, award-winning kids’ programs, Saudia’s new range is sure to prove popular among their smallest travellers.

Created by Buzz, the Minions range for Saudia is a collaboration with the world’s most successful animated franchise and follows last year’s record-setting release of Minions: The Rise of Gru, which ignited social trends across the globe. Upcoming for fans, the franchise’s newest chapter, Despicable Me 4 is slated to be released in July 2024.

The Saudia Minions children’s kits contain a mixture of play-based activities, keepsakes, and bags for use during and post flight.

Kids travelling on long haul flights will receive a Minions Travel backpack, made from recycled fabric. Included in the pack is a Minions memory game with multiple game cards, Minions character keyring, a USB charging cable, and buildable Minions figurines.

Passengers on short haul flights will receive a tin case with felt lining. Inside is a Minions magic reveal card game, electrostatic puzzle postcards, sticky note pad and a jumping Bob buildable.

Sustainability has been a focus in designing the new kits. All polybags have been removed and replaced with craft paper belly bands. Consideration has also been given to the materials used, with RPET and recyclable tin, as well as paper-based activities minimising the use of plastic.

Another key consideration is reusability, and by creating retail-quality, functional items such as the charging cable, backpack and tin case, the items will be cherished and reused well beyond the flight.

The Minions are known for their irreverent humor and heart which shine through in the activity kits, making the journey for young passengers more enjoyable.
