On board, the aircraft’s 472 seats (14 in Business, 28 in Premium Economy and 430 in Economy) have been completely redesigned, enabling Air France to offer cabins with the highest standards of comfort, in a soft and warm atmosphere in the airline’s colours.
As from 15 January 2020, the first aircraft equipped with these cabins will take off for the first time to Pointe-à-Pitre, then to Fort de France (16 January 2020) and Saint-Denis de la Réunion (2020 summer season).
From January to December 2020, Air France will gradually install these new cabins on all its 10 Boeing 777-300s mainly dedicated to this network, thanks to an overall investment of 120 million euros. In addition to Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France and Saint-Denis de la Réunion, these new cabins will be progressively available this year on routes to Mauritius, Havana, Cancun, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.
Comfort and serenity in Business
The Air France Business cabin promises a totally relaxing travel experience. The seat, with its discreet and contemporary elegance, reclines to become a real bed nearly two metres long. It also offers a new predefined “relax” position. With a seating arrangement of four seats per row (1/2/1), all customers have direct aisle access.
The new configuration of this cabin can be adapted to the customer’s wishes, whether they’re travelling alone or with a companion. They can choose to share a moment of relaxation or enjoy total privacy thanks to a removable partition. And for added peace of mind, customers can also turn on their “do not disturb” sign via the seat control.
Everything has been designed to provide an impeccable quality of sleep, with soft seat foam, a silky duvet and a comfortable pillow. This sober and elegant cocoon contains a storage compartment with a mirror and noise-reducing headphones, an electric socket, two USB ports, an 18.5-inch HD screen, an individually adjustable reading light and mood lighting for a tailor-made travel atmosphere. A comfort kit in suede and leather, available in elegant colours, is also offered with everything you need for well-being on board.
The Premium Economy cabin, with its brand new seat, meets the highest standards of comfort for its customers, with a seat width of 48.8 cm, a seat recline of 130° inside a fixed shell, lumbar support adapted to different morphologies and additional legroom.
The softer seat foams and wider leather armrests have also been redesigned. The footrests, leg and headrests are adjustable. Additional storage, an individual adjustable reading light, a digital tablet stand, power outlet and two USB ports fit perfectly into this new travel environment. Each customer is given noise-cancelling headphones to enjoy a wide selection of entertainment accessible from their individual 13.3-inch HD screen. And for added comfort, a comfort kit renewed every six months, a red feather pillow and a navy blue blanket accompany them throughout their trip.
The Economy cabin offers a seat width of 43 cm (16.9 in), a 118° recline, soft adjustable headrests and ergonomic seat foam. A latest-generation 11.6-inch high-definition individual screen, audio headphones and a USB port accompany Air France’s rich and varied entertainment offer. The seat table is also larger, for eating or working comfortably. A red blanket and a collection of 5 cushions inspired by the Air France accent brighten up the Economy cabin.
Air France offers a selection of wines and champagnes in all its cabins, selected by Paolo Basso, world’s best sommelier in 2013.
On departure from Paris, Andrée Rosier, a French Michelin-starred chef from the Basque Country, has designed the current Air France Business class menu. With hints of the Basque Country, her gourmet dishes will delight the taste buds of Air France customers.
On departure from Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Fort-de-France (Martinique) and Cayenne (French Guiana) to Paris, as well as on board flights on the Caribbean regional network linking Cayenne to Fort-de-France, Air France has entrusted the design of the Creole dish on its menus to the famous chef Marcel Ravin. Three culinary creations are offered to Business and Premium Economy customers on long-haul flights and are renewed every month.
On departure from Saint-Denis de la Réunion (Reunion Island), customers can enjoy chef Benoit Ventaux’ creole dish, specially created for Air France; a combination of French know-how and products and spices from Reunion Island.
In the Economy cabin, guests enjoy a full menu, including a choice of two hot dishes. In addition, a second meal, offered in the “Bon Appétit” bag, includes a tasty breakfast or a snack to be enjoyed on board or to take away with you.
To vary the culinary delights, the À la Carte Menus, offered as an optional fee-paying option on departure from Paris, will delight your taste buds, with the Fauchon Menu, Healthy Menu, My Fun Menu, Tradition Menu and Ocean Menu. The Italia, Tradition and Ocean menus are also available on departure from Fort-de-France, Point-à-Pitre and Saint-Denis de la Réunion.
Finally, the company pays even more attention to detail, with an oshibori to freshen up as soon as customers arrive on board. At the end of the flight, they are also given a traditional French candy before leaving the aircraft.
And to stay connected
On board the redesigned Boeing 777-300s, customers can enjoy on-board Wi-Fi with Air France CONNECT. By the end of 2020, the entire Air France fleet will be equipped with Wi-Fi.
Three different passes are available:
- A free “Message” pass for all, to send and receive messages during the entire flight;
- A “Surf” pass, costing between €8 and €18 (6,000 Miles) to surf the internet, consult and send emails;
- A “Stream” pass, costing €30 (10,000 Miles) to enjoy high-speed internet access, streaming and downloading, including the “Message” and “Surf” passes.
