Harriet Baskas writes about airports, travel, museums, and a wide variety of other topics. Her work has appeared in outlets that include NBCNews.com, CNBC.com, USATODAY.com, and others. She is also the creator of the StuckatTheAirport.com blog.

Harriet has been the general manager of three public radio stations and is the author of nine books, including 111 Places in Seattle That You Must Not Miss (2022) and Hidden Treasures: What Museums Can’t or Won’t Show You. She’s created award-winning radio programs on topics as varied as cowgirls, unusual museums, and the Seattle World’s Fair for National Public Radio and regional public radio stations.
